WHAT IS RF MICRONEEDLING?

RF remedies have existed for a number of years and are well known in the aesthetics industry for their skin tightening effects. This particular type of treatment uses heat to stimulate the production of collagen deep within the skin to create a tighter, smoother surface. This therapy can be combined with microneedling to optimize the results. At Peak Aesthetics, we frequently incorporate this new process into our patients' skin treatments by utilizing the Morpheus8™ to produce firmer skin, a much smoother feel, and a luminous complexion.

HOW IS RF MICRONEEDLING PERFORMED?
Microneedling utilizes an instrument with tiny needles at the end that is rolled gently against the skin to puncture and make micro-injuries that "interrupt" the cells and produce collagen. Some also refer to this as collagen induction therapy. New skin begins to grow as the skin begins to heal, leaving the top layer looking and feeling smoother, brighter, and refreshed. Although this process is often performed by itself, combining this advanced method with radiofrequency microneedling technology has enabled us to optimize the outcomes for our Peak, SC patients.
The process is quite straightforward. The handheld Morpheus8 device, which emits radiofrequency heat, works by delivering short pulses of RF energy via an array of 25 sterile, golden microneedles. The energy is delivered via the needles, which concurrently punctures the skin and returns the electrodes to the surface of the skin. The RF energy heats at levels that provide cumulative and continuing benefits.

WHAT RESULTS CAN I EXPECT FROM RF MICRONEEDLING?
RF microneedling treatment will take place inside our facility using a numbing solution to minimize discomfort. During your appointment, the handpiece will glide over the desired treatment areas, repeating the process until the desired results have been reached. Patients should anticipate tiny, pinpoint scabs to become pronounced 24 – 72 hours after the session, which will naturally disappear when the underlying micro-injury has healed. Outcomes become noticeable as the skin heals over a month after having a microneedling with RF procedure. Optimal results generally require 3 – 4 treatments 3 – 4 weeks apart.
